Ilir has returned to the position of the Executive Director at the Kosovar Institute for Policy Research and Development - KIPRED on 1 February 2012, after serving as the Chief of Staff and Senior Political Advisor to President Atifete Jahjaga since her election. Prior to joining the Office of the President, Ilir was one of the co-founders of the FER party. Ilir was with KIPRED since 2008, first as the Research Director, and afterwards as the Executive Director. He has worked as a policy specialist for UNDP HQ in New York (2007-2008); researcher at the Graduate Program in International Affairs of the New School (2006-2007); researcher at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy - GCSP (2004-2005) and as consultant in GCSP (2006); a political advisor to the first Kosovo Prime Minister (Bajram Rexhepi 2003-2004); and an Analyst for the International Crisis Group in Kosovo (2002-2003). He is also the author of 2008/09/10 Kosovo reports of Freedom Houses’ Nations in Transit annual publications, and other publications. Close
Ilir holds an M.A. degree in International Affairs from The New School, New York City (2007) and a B.A in Political Science from Western Michigan University (2001).
Ariana Qosaj Mustafa holds a MSc in Gender, Development and Globalization from The London School of Economics and Political Science-UK and BA in Law studies in Law Faculty from Prishtina University. She is currently a PHD Candidate in the Faculty of Law 'Iustinianus Primus,' in the State University of Skopje, Macedonia.
Before joining KIPRED Ariana was a UNDP Legal Adviser to Kosovo's President Jahjaga, of the Anti-Corruption Council and Presidents Political Adviser on Legal Affairs. Ariana is specialized in the field of policy-review and research, international law, and has worked extensively on institutional capacity building. She has over ten years of work experience in research and capacity building activities related to rule of law, women’s human rights anti-discrimination issues in Kosovo. Other areas of experience included protection of vulnerable groups (i.e. women and children), anti-trafficking, legislative reform, and trainings on gender equality, anti-discrimination and rule of law. Prior to joining the Office of President she worked with Kosovar Policy Research and Development -KIPRED, as Research Director where she led KIPRED projects on promoting and strengthening democratic values in Kosovo and the region. Prior to this position she was the Executive Director for local NGO Community Development Fund, a World Bank project in Kosovo. She is Board Member of the Centre to Prevent and Protect Victims of Trafficking based in Prishtina. In January 2013 she has been voted as Head of the Board of Kosovo Womens Network, an umbrella organisation for 100 Kosovo women focused NGO's.
In 2010 she attended a Fellowship Program in Washington, DC, to support her on-going research and advocacy on areas of rule of law within KIPRED’s mission. Ariana did her research at the American University (AU), the Washington College of Law (WCL). Close
Nezir Kraki is a PhD candidate in Political Science at the Université Paris Est, Doctoral school OMI (Organizations, Markets, Institutions), where he is currently completing a doctoral thesis on the European Union’s role in Kosovo’s independence process. His research is mainly focused on the evolution of the EU’s position regarding Kosovo’s final status. Nezir holds a Masters degree in Political Science (comparative political cultures) from the Université Paris Est Marne-La-Vallée. He is also a Professor Coordinator at the Enaco Business School in Lille (France) where he teaches The Intercultural management in Europe and The European [political] construction.
Nezir joined KIPRED in December 2012 as a Lecturer and Programme coordinator at the KIPRED Center for Education where he teaches Critical thinking and Research and Writing skills.
Before joining KIPRED, Nezir has taught courses as a teaching assistant in Research methodology at Université Paris Est School of Law. In 2011 he was a WUS Austria Brain Gain Program Guest lecturer at the Political Science Department, University of Pristina, where he assisted in Global Politics and Research Methods. In 2013 Nezir has also taught a Research methods (Professional thesis) course at the SKEMA Business School in Lille, France. Close
Albert is part of KIPRED since 2007, where he has been involved in various projects. Since 2009, Albert has been part of KIPRED’s team responsible to support and strengthen the Oversight Committee on Public Finances at the Kosovo Assembly. Close
Albert holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Prishtina and is a Master’s Candidate on Civil Society and Local Development - a joint program between University of Prishtina, University of Galway and University of Graz.
As a Project Coordinator, she coordinates the Future Voters Project, which aims at educating young generations on the importance of democratic elections. As a Financial Manager, Erëmirë is responsible for managing all the finances of the institute. Ever since Erëmirë joined KIPRED in 2008, she has been part of numerous projects in the institute. Close
Erëmirë holds a B.Sc. degree on Business Administration and Public Policy from the American University in Kosovo (2004-2008). Erëmirë has attended various training programs focusing on the management of NGO finances.
Violeta is an Assistant Researcher at the Kosovar Institute for Policy Research and Development - KIPRED. Her primary focus within the Institute are international relations and policy development. Before joining KIPRED, Violeta has completed an internship program in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, in the Committee on Internal Affairs, Security and Supervision of KSF, in a project funded by USAID and implemented by NDI (National Democratic Institute) for the Strengthening of Kosovo Assembly.
Violeta holds a Bachelor’sdegree in the field of Political Science at the University of Prishtina (2009-2012). In addition, she has completed several academic programs offered by some local NGOs and international organizations, such as Summer Program provided by American University in Kosovo, KYATASummer Academy, etc. Close
Krenar is an Assistant Researcher at the Kosovar Institute for Policy Research and Development - KIPRED. His primary focus in the institute is on international affairs and political developments. Krenar has a diverse experience stemming from his previous involvement in both, business nad vicil society sectors. Prior to joining KIPRED, Krenar was involved as a researcher at GAP Institute, a local public policy think tank (2009 - 2012). Apart from the civil society sector, Krenar has spent 8 months as a researcher at the Management and Development Associates – MDA.
Krenar holds a B.Sc. degree on Business Development and Entrepreneurship from the American University in Kosovo (2005-2009).. Additionally, Krenar has completed several academic programs provided by several local NGOs and international organizations such as the American University in Kosovo - Summer Program and the Prishtina Institute for Political Studies sponsored by Council of Europe etc. Close
Diella is an Office Assistant at the Kosovar Institute for Policy Research and Development - KIPRED. Diella is part of the institute since September 2011. Her duties range from maintaining office environment, participating in special events planning and preparation, and media monitoring. She also manages the archive of the institute. Close
